Default New Borgata Room AC

Whats the latest word on the new poker room at the Borgata? I heard they will spread games starting next weekend even if the room isn't completed. Sounds right I just wondered if anyone has more info.

The room opens June 30th. They put out a press release with all the information about the new room - see here .

I play soccer with an electrician working on the room. He said they would get it done on time if the Borgata stopped changing their minds on what they wanted. He didn't elaborate beyond that.

I think this is my first "I know a guy who knows a guy" type of post. It wasn't terribly helpful.

I'm going to AC on the 29th - anyone know if the room opens at Midnight on June 30 or sometime during that day? I'd like to check it out obviously. So psyched for this [censored] to open.

I'm going to be making my first trip to AC in a couple of weeks. I've been reading up on this board, and it seems the borgata is notorious for long waitlists.

How many tables does borgata currently have? Is the expansion large enough to alleviate these long waits?

I am down for helping get a game going, PM me if interested. I am hoping for a 20-40 O8B or 10-20 mixed game like at the Taj perhaps with hold'em mixed in to attract the fish. Friday night we should have a great chance of getting the 20 O8B going, place should be mobbed.

Does anyone know if they're keeping their regular limits or adding any new ones?

I love playing there but don't quite have the bankroll for 6/12.

The room currently has around 40 tables, so they are doubling the size. The new room appears to be in a much more visible location, so I'd expect more walk-in customers. Nevertheless, common sense will tell you that once the room is fully operational, waits will be reduced. Common sense will also tell you that there may be some early logistical problems which will have to be worked out.

Jeff,

It seems readily apparent that the Borgata is trying to avoid a "grand opening" crush with a designated opening time; they'll open the room as soon as it is ready. They did the same thing when they opened the hotel. It was opened a day early, and no one was around.
