Default Review my stats during a 500 BB downswing @ 5-10 SH

I hadn't played SH in a while so, I decided to play some 5-10 SH to get back into the SH mentality. Needless to say, things have not gone according to plan. Please let me know if you see any glaring holes in my stats that are contributing to this downswing. Thanks in advance.

I'm AMAZED your winrate isn't lower. Steal more, and loosen up quite a bit.

Edit: VPIP of 18 on Button. Wow.

You're saying he runs better than he plays? I disagree.
Obv. he can steal more and call to SD more.

You seem to be losing too much in the big blind by a fair amount. Over my last 93,000 hands at all levels, I am losing .11 in the big blind. Over the last 37,000 hands of $3/$6 and $5/$10 only (where I have been doing VERY poorly), I am losing .15. So, .20 seems like a lot.

I, personally, would not be comfortable playing <22% VPIP but I don't know that it's necessarily hurting you. I think you can steal a bit more, though. I'm around 30% attempt to steal and some other players I know and respect run as high as 35%.

Edit: Whoa, I just saw the button VPIP. You are giving up WAY too much by not making better use of the button. <18% VPIP on the button is way too low, I think. You should really loosen up and start playing when you're in position.

Your stats look frighteningly similar to mine. My flop AF is even higher than yours, as is my folded to BB steal [both major things I'm trying to work on]. I took a break for a few days to figure stuff out, but yeah most has already been said. From what I've heard around here, VPIP/PFR can be raised as well as WTSD.

Cup,

I'd have to agree that if your VPIP on the button is ~18, and it trends down from there until the blinds, you've got something really screwed up wrt stealing and defense. I'd recommend you get someone to sweat you or take a look at a couple ~200 hand sessions to help identify spots to iso-raise, steal, fold to CO open raises, etc. Videos are a good way of doing this.

Good luck, I'm trying to recover from a similar 5/10 downswing.

My VPIP is similar, though I'm a looser button than you, and I raise more PF.

Firstly, standard. 500bb downswings over 50k hands are standard. Just letting you know. PM AdamL if you need confirmation. Personally I logged say 40k hands at a winrate of like 0.33bb/100 with similar vpip/pfr.

You probably pwn me post-flop too.
