This is about right, but it has more to do with the average guy doesn't want to hook up with any of the goth/counterculture women. The average guy could get with those girls, but is trying to get with the girls at the upper end of the tier.

I think your chart is wrong in one aspect - the zero is off on the x-axis.
You say it yourself, counter-culture. So it should be on the negative side of the axis, anti-popular. That's at least trying for some distinction. Most average guys in high school are keeping their heads down, going with the pack, and not distinguishing themselves in any way, for fear of ridicule. I can't blame high school girls for not being interested. |
