Live 1/2 NL Slowplayed Bottom Set Gets 3Bet
Live 1/2 Game.
Villain(BB) and original raiser both have ~300 and I cover. Hero is on the button with 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Folded to the cutoff who raises to 10. Hero Calls. BB calls. Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, Cutoff checks, Hero Checks. (This is not a standard play for me at all but I guess its not TOO disgusting of a check on this board. Anyway, I realize this check is what made the turn decision so difficult, so feel free to berate me for it) Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB Checks, Cutoff bets 15, Hero raises to 45, BB instantly moves all in for ~290, Hero ??? BB is somewhat of a regular at the casino but isn't particularly good. He is somewhat loose/passive and doesn't make too many moves. However, he is capable of getting married to top pair/overpair. I don't see him doing this with a big draw but I havn't played with him enough to confirm this. Comments on all streets welcome, but obviously I'm particularly interested in the turn decision. How often is the villain slowplaying an overpair here? How often is it AJ or 10J for that matter? How often is he drawing? And how often am I beat. |

Re: Live 1/2 NL Slowplayed Bottom Set Gets 3Bet
don't fold this turn. you said yourself he can get married to top pair/an overpair. and if he has a higher set, why would he push on this drawless board?
against a better player, maybe i can fold this, but not against this guy. |
