Moving to the South Bay: General Recommendations
Hey all:
I'm moving from Oregon to the South Bay (Los Gatos area) next month. I already have a place to live, but I'm looking for general recommendations for things that'll make me happier to live there. Specifically: -New York style pizza (TOP PRIORITY PLZ) -Indian, Thai, other food (vegetarian friendly) -Bars (neighborhood type, with good beer selections - no hipster/dress up joints) -Parks and other recreational areas (dog friendly) -Anything else South Bay area folks like about living there and think I should know Anything in a decent radius will do. |

What constitutes "New York style pizza", exactly? [/ QUOTE ] Like that. I'm getting depressed now. This is my favorite food by a long, long, long shot. We finally got a good place in Eugene about 1.5 years ago. At any rate, Lees Sandwiches has been a nice find. Cheap and good. |

Re: Moving to the South Bay: General Recommendations
lee's sandwiches is a giant chain. the one in santa cruz blows ass. the best recommendation i can give is to hang out in santa cruz as much as possible, because los gatos blows almost as much ass as lee's sandwiches. my dad says that magiannos place is good and he works in SJ.

IHKS,
Sucker or someone else who knows the South Bay can probably tell you better places to get a great Vietnamese sandwich like the ones at Saigon Sandiwches in SF where you get the best sandwiches in town for about $2. |
