Default Finishing up my psychology degree has helped my poker game

Its amazing the discipline you learn by actually attending college. The benefits of a psych degree for playing poker are enormous. I was thinking of getting another job after college, but online been so good latley I may just play full time.

There is very little from an undergrad psych degree that is all that helpful in poker. Honestly there isn't that much even from graduate work that is all that helpful. OP is running well and thinks it has something to do with his degree. This is just sort of an ill informed, unwitting brag post.

Barry Greenstein claims that the most useful academic education for a pokerplayer is a psychology major with a math minor.

There are quite a few things one can make use of from a psych degree. Cognitive Psych and Engineering Psych have much to offer in the way of decision-making, information processing, human performance under stress, fatigue, etc. Human Factors can offer a lot of useful info on displays, ergonomics, etc.

Not everything about Psych is mental health.

Read the 2+2 Magazine and see what Cog Psych can do for you.

I covered some psychology earlier in my degree and I found it to be extremely helpful pokerwise.

Areas regarding decision-making and personality types/traits were helpful.

Personally, I would love it if we could could get some more academic psychology discussion going. Post up things you found relevant cantbeat.
