I get to do what?
I started playing limit hold-em around a year ago and this summer I'm playing $3/6 and $5/10 6-max for a living. Through no fault of my own I have a WSOP seat with 5% of the action. I've played in maybe 5 or 6 $5 live NL games around campus and that's all the experiance I have, so I guess I have to learn. I'm buying the HoH's and NL TaP and reading the sticky, and i'll start posting but first i need to start playing. Any advice on at what limit to start? Bankroll probably isn't an issue. Any other advice in general from peopel who've made the limit to NL transition on how to get at least decent fairly quickly?
PS, and before you yell at me, I know tourney poker is different than ring, but with the stacks so deep I think ring is much better practice insomuch as I can't play in a big tourney whnvr I want to. |

Re: I get to do what?
id start at 50NL just to get the hang of it, then 100 shouldnt be much of a change. There have been a lot of limit players comming through to try out NL so do a quick search of this forum and there are some threads with advice. Good luck.

Re: I get to do what?
If br isn't an issue then play at least 100NL. FR is what you'll be playing in the tournament, but you will learn to play poker faster at 6 max.

Re: I get to do what?
You could try a deepstack tournament on Stars, if they still have those. It's still not the same, but it's closer than a typical tourney.
