Default Washing Golf Clubs

I'm going to wash some golf clubs for the first time. Does anyone have any tricks to help? Also, is there anything not to do so as I don't ruin them? Thanks.

I think the only thing you could really do to ruin them is let them rust. Even if you let them air dry they probably won't anyway.

I use a paperclip to get dirt out of the grooves after soaking them. Then I towel them off completely dry.
