Posting Blind Out of Turn on Internet... Fish Behavior?
What are your views on someone who posts dead blind(SB+BB), or even just BB(out of turn) in a short-handed LHE game? Does this mean anything about the player? Is he impulsive? Is he a fish?
I can understand posting dead/BB in a live game or even a full ring internet game noting that the button JUST passed you. However, I tend to respect the player less if the BB is so damn close to them. Can they not wait literally one minute or less? SolidFish |

Re: Posting Blind Out of Turn on Internet... Fish Behavior?
Posting a dead blind is usually a sure sign of a fish, since it's pretty -EV and I doubt any good player would do so. Posting a BB out of turn isn't really that bad, especially in the CO, or the hijack in a full ring game. Even posting in MP isn't horrible, and I usually don't use a simple post out of position as information if a player has just sat down.

Even if he posts one position shy of the BB? Still not information?

It doesn't mean he's a fish. A lot of people just click on auto post. If it were live, then yea maybe. For me the easiest way to tell if someone is a fish is when they win a hand in EP with garbage like 2/9 offsuit. Another way is if you see them cold call 3 or 4 times an hr.

[/ QUOTE ] I might consider it, but I've accidentally posted out of position before, especially on Party, since if I wait till I get prompted to post my BB, I often don't even have any buttons and have to sit out another orbit. So if the guy to my right is sitting out and then comes back when I was supposed to be BB, Party posts me UTG. |

If you glance around the table real quick there's sure to be a couple guys smirking and nodding in my direction. The next thing I do is let the dealer remind me it's my turn to act, then I put a reraise in front of me without announcing a raise. After that, I ask how rebuys work. Different people react differently to a player they believe to be a total fish, but my favorite is Arrogant Guy, who for some reason insists on thinking fish can't get dealt real hands. |
