Default Wynn 100k Freeroll

50 hours between June 22nd and July 26th gets you in...

...1st 1000 entries...I left the breakdown there by accident or I would know more....

...looks like there trying to compete with Venetian....But I think its the 27th which is the weekend of the WSOP ME?

the 27th is just a big satellite day at the Rio.

The main-event day 1 heats (4 of them) are July 28-31.
So the 27th might be the best day for this I guess.

50 hours the 2 or 3 weeks before could actually attract a lot of the out of towners who will be around.

I don't know about "trying to compete with the Venetian".

Maybe more like a way to reward the people who will have the #1/#2 (based on your opinion) room in Vegas jammed 24/7 during the duration of the WSOP, by having a tourney that won't conflict with anything major at the Rio.

OTOH, I presume the blind structure of the freeroll will be pretty fast. Which wouldn't be the worst thing.

Not necessarily even 'reward' imo.
Rather to 'attract' as much of the WSOP crowd as they can.
Po-tay-toe, po-tah-toe I suppose.

They are indeed pretty jammed during WSOP time...but it's not like every seat is occupied 24/7 there.

Perhaps they see an opportunity to get some of those WSOP'ers who might normally put in 30-50 hours at the Bellagio during their trip to bring them over to the Wynn instead.

Now that Caesars and Venetian have rooms (they didn't during the last WSOP) there might be a bit more competition to try to bring in as many ring-game players as possible.

I was at the Wynn last week and the room manager assured that the blind structure would be generous and similar to that of their daily tournaments.

Also, hours playing in their tournaments do NOT count towards these 50 hours.

yeah ill double check tomorrow if i'm over there but i believe it was timed to start right before the WSOP Main Event (like the Venetian's is timed to start right after).

I also suspect there will be a LOT more people qualifying for the Wynn freeroll, since qualification is during WSOP time and only requires one month's play. I'll be getting my hours in, but only because I play the 10-20 Omaha there on a pretty regular basis anyways.

Easy....but I know a bunch of dealers and they had a meeting in regards to these things and anyone caught swiping people in and out not during the time they are they or in anyway shape or form assisting someone to there goal will be fired and prosecuted for felony fraud...which means they could never deal again as you cant obtain a sheriffs card as you have a felony on your record...

...so dont try to [censored] anyone over on this...
