Don't worry, Trunc, I'm sober, too. At least until the kids are asleep in around 30 minutes .

The fun thing about your thread from 18 mos. ago is how many people posted that aren't even here (in Micros or on the board at all) anymore.

Call me a kid a few more times and I'll love you forever.

Sober is a temporary setback I'm trying hard to overcome. Don't you have something better to do now that you're not pokering?

some real shadow gems in that thead....

I want to play 5-10 at 3 or more tables by the end of the year. This is very doable, I think. Hopefully only 10k more hands 1/2 (another month, maybe less). I've been told that 2/4 is quite good.

Another goal of mine is to figure out how the hell my aggro factor is so large. My 1/2 numbers (over 5k hands) are even higher than my .5/1 numbers. 5.26, 4.07, 2.67 for a totagg of 4.07. Is that ridiculous? Or does that mean that my variance goes up, but so does my winrate?

I'll probably end up getting a coach. Someone local (easypete maybe).

I need another monitor, too.

Taxes!? Hopefully I won't go to jail...

Is your call button broken? Seriously though you have a leak. Too much aggression means your not playing the passive lines enough. Look into this as it's a key weapon in my arsenal.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, my call button might as well be broken. My problem is I just don't know where the aggression is misplaced. I'm going to give some of the respected 2+2ers around here 200 hands or so and have them look at them. At least my vpip is 14.xx, so the ridiculous aggression is neutered in some respects by the few hands I play. meh.

5/10 sh is scary.

I reviewed one of the local players hands and the aggression is just nuts.

I'm not ready for it, emotionally.

But, on a personal note, I'm starting to do really well at 2/4. It definetly took about 3.5k hands to get a grasp on the game, but I feel confident in about 85-90% of the situations now.

Almost done working out that huge red number from my first 830 hands, so it will be a relief to start getting some positive cash flow.

2004: Started with 50 bucks in January. Feburary...gone. 50 more in March....gone in April. 50 more in May...gone in August. Hey I made it more than one month. Bought some books and started studying. September, signed up with Pacific and got a free $10. Ran it up to $100 at the nanos. Almost even.

2005: Won $2.50 MTT at pacific for a whopping $256. Out of the red now. I've learned a lot from my studying and this board, so I decide to start whoring. Feburary: $100 at paradise for the granny bonus(I know, not enough, but a start). 6bb/100 at .10/.20 for 6K hands, 4.5bb/100 at .25/.50 for 12K hands, and I'm off to party and skins, and Absolute, and cryptos, and prima skins, and a few casino bonuses.

I'd like to start playing 2/4 now. Just need to plug some leaks in my 4th and 5th street game. I'm a lot more confident in my pokering, but still have a lot to go.

My goal is to beat 2/4 in 12 months (Aug 2006) for at least 2.5bb/100.

I guess I'm doing OK.

Wow, that post was like a blast from the past. Where the heck did most of those guys go anyway?

Yeah. It's easy to get lost in the day to day, month to month and forget how much things change.

I was reflecting on my poker odyssey and thought that the current micro crowd might benefit from reading through some of these posts + having a place to record their own microquests for posterity.
