So I bought an apt. in NYC in Jan. and havent moved in yet! w/PHOTOS

So my GF and I bought this apt. in uptown NYC (145th St.) in January. Its a 2 bedroom/1 bath and was in horrible coniditon. I think it was way underpriced Weve been renovating it ourselves Here are some photos if anyone is interested...

Heres the bathroom now, we still have to install the new toilet and sink. We also ripped out the old vanity and put in a new one, which is not in the picture..

Kitchen is not done yet but heres a view of it pre-reno. It was covered in slimy grease stains...


We cleared all the stuff out...you can see the grease running down the wall in this one!

Yeah, gotta put in the shower head too. "Did it ourselves" is a bit of hyperbole; I should of been clearer...

My father was a restorative painter of historical sites and an interior painter for years. My GF's father was a tiler for 30 years and her uncle was a carpenter (they are both retired and thus have extra time, and we pay for the materials). We all work on the place, but without their expertise this would all be impossible.

Wow, that bathroom tile looks awesome. I had mine done about 2 years ago and it makes a huge difference. Congrats and good luck getting it finished and moving in.

Thats awesome, we expect full pic when everything is done. The blue tile/white tub looks really cool.
