Default OT: Are UK players at a disadvantage?

Im a part time player multi-tabling SNGs outside of work hours. To date, i have predominantly played on 'European' sites, therefore typically i face 'casual' evening players. i play at the £10 or £20 level.

Having moved to PS recently ($16 turbos) I have noticed a marked decrease in my ROI. Obviously im aware the nature of turbos will decrease my ROI, but also, im aware im typically facing daytime american players (with the UK being 5 hours ahead)

Is this a disadvantage, assuming a daytime US player is likely playing more 'professionally' rather than the avg casual donk? Ive certainly noticed a marked increase in the number of multi-tablers?

Any opinions?

If you get up early enough in the UK, you get to play the US drunks.

in 16 turbos i dont think you have to worry about huge discrepancies in talent between 20 pound players and themselves. i think a lot of it probably has to do with you adjusting to the structure and site as a whole.

totally agree here.
im definately finding a big diff between blinds going up every 10 hands, vs a clock. I find it harder to get my timing spot on. A good example is the 100/200 to 200/400 jump. sometimes i miss this and im invariably eaten up as the short stack...

i'll plug away based on the comments on general skills at $16 level. im going from 25% ROI to barely break even over my first few hundred games
