Villain is loose passive. Probably around 40/8 if I remember right.

I cap the preflop then bet the flop and fold to a raise which unless he's tricky means something.
Your way all you've got is a bet and a call which doesn't really tell you anything. That said he's called a raise on the flop and a bet on the turn. I think you're looking at 99 or better. Again, i think a bet on the flop gets you more information here than a checkraise which is going to leave a lot of better hands calling down. |

I don't think this is much of a value bet, because there's not many hands that such a passive player is going to instantly 3-bet preflop that AK is going to beat unimproved.
I think the preflop call is pretty good, but I would bet the flop for the same reasons as Usylesses. |

[/ QUOTE ] against this guy, i'm check calling the flop and c/f the turn 8PF is pretty small. He's going to have AQs+ and TT+ alot here. If he can bet that turn, you aren't winning. As played, if you bet this river, it's for value, it's just not "your" value. I'd check/fold the river against this guy. Its over. |

You're being 3 bet by a passive player, this flop couldn't get much worse.
Flop: Bet, if raised, call Turn: If UI, check/fold |

I slightly misread the opening post. I assumed we capped preflop.
I'd cap preflop, and lead right into him on the flop. I think we're getting a few big aces to drop in this situation. I get absolutely no information from check/call.. so I'm leading. |

I guess I just need to find out if he has a pair or big cards. I figured he might pop me back with an overpair but against a passive player I could be wrong. Especially with something like 99-QQ. I think donking the flop would be the best way to figure this out. I'm not sure I like the c/c, c/c, c/f because even passive players have a tendency to keep the bet button down with a hand I beat here.
