Hand 1 looks fine...too bad your got rivered...

Hand 2.. I really don't like pushing against 2nd big stack like that. By your raise, I would have put you on low pair. I would have raised 3xBB (it has SB covered) and you can re-evaluate on flop if not pushed by BB (do you have any sort of read on him?)... at best you have a coin flip.

First hand is super-standard. Second Hand I've been miniraising recently and been having good results with. Too good to pass up stealing here and going heads up with the shorty, but dont want to risk my 10 bb stack against another someone who nearly has me covered with 44.

I don't think it's worth the risk of going all-in. 3x BB is the way I would go. get called, you can push on flop and take BB off if he doesn't have you covered.

Hand 1 is standard. So is hand 2 actually, I don't like any line other than a push because donks like to get fancy with all sorts of stuff and you can get pushed off your hand too easily. Playing around with SNGPT hand 2 looks pretty much unexploitable too, even if BB is quite loose (call 44+, A7s+ A9o+ KJs+ KJo+) and SB calling 30% you're still at +.9%.

And he's almost certainly not that loose.

On hand 2 BB was somewhat solid. He didn't get out of line as far as I had seen yet. After thinking it over I feel that hand 2 I should have raised to 1500 and played after the flop. I agree that I am ahead of the calling range but only slightly and no reason to risk possible domination or coin flip at best against 2nd big stack. Thoughts?

Both hands are completely standard. You might be able to fold hand #1 since usually minraises at 11s are KK-AA.

Not pushing hand #2 is a mistake. Raising to 1500 is much worse than folding just for the fact that BB could call and push any flop and you can't call. Or for the fact that, if you raise and put a c-bet in, you're basically pot commited.

So risking the chance of being crippled with the 4's is just a chance I have to take and live with the results?

Pretty much. I guess you could fold, but with your effective stack being 8xbb, I don't see how you fold. Raising to even 2xbb is a bad play.
