party 10/20 6 handed
preflop:utg limps, utg+1 folds, villan1 in co raises, button calls, villan2 in sb calls, hero in bb calls w/ 6h5h, utg calls; POT SIZE 10SB reads on villans: villan1 in co has typical pro stats (28/18/2.5/38%wtsd), villan2 in sb has stats of 41/22/1.9/45%wtsd) flop: Ah Qh 3h -- sb checks, hero checks, utg checks, villan1 bets, button calls, villan2 calls, hero raises, utg folds, villan1 three bets, button folds, villan2 calls two, hero caps, villan1 calls, villan2 calls; POT SIZE: 23 SB turn: 2c villan2 in sb donks, hero raises, villan1 calls two, villan2 calls; POT SIZE: 17.5 BB river: 7h villan2 checks, hero cuses loudly and checks?, villan1 bets, villan2 raises, hero curses the game of poker and folds?, villan1 calls. POT SIZE 21.5 BB my main questions are my river play. i was hoping to have it check through or maybe see the action go bet fold and then i would have called facing one opponent. however, when the action went the way it did i felt i had no options but to fold. does anyone think i should have called for two here on the river? and secondly had the action on the river been such that villan1 bet and villan2 called would anyone have been able to lay down there or is the pot so big that you would have called only beating flushes holding the 2 or 4 of hearts? the shocking results to come later! |

Hard to see how villain2 can have you beat, but also hard to see how he cant!

I'm just wondering. Instead of jamming the flop, how about waiting for a non-heart turn to pump the pot when your equity is a lot higher? What do you guys think?

Well played. If you folded the winner, it's an anomaly - I'd say you're good on the river close to never based on the action that occurred during the entire hand.

[/ QUOTE ] I think this is sacrificing too much value. All indications are that we are going to get a ton of action on the turn regardless and the probability of a harmful heart hitting the turn is a maximum of 7/47 (which would mean there is only one heart between the two opponents). |

well i'm glad i played it correctly i guess. although in this case i wish i was a spewing monkey. the co had AsQs and the sb had 2h2d for the winner. would anyone ever have dare folded if the river went sb ck, hero ck, co bet, sb call, hero ? i realize the pot is huge and we only have to be a winner about 5% of the time to call, but there are only two hearts out there we beat. can anyone make an arguement to fold in that scenerio?
