Im having trouble putting him on hands that I can beat by the river... Whats the best line there?

I usually lead out at least 2/3 PSB on the flop. 70c isn't that far off, but it is a little light IMO.

I'm calling down after the turn though. I hope the river 3 cracked his 96o two-pair.

lets start at the beginning:

Preflop: good
flop: bad, bet the pot in this situation...make anybody chasing pay

turn: come over the top for at least 2

River: hard to say..it plays a lot different if you play this hand strong

I agree with this, gotta pot the flop and re-pop him on the turn. As played, I agree with OP, I'm not seeing much you beat, maybe a smaller 2 pair (98?) but thats about it (unless you think villain wouldnt re-raise JJ or QQ pf)
