NL50 6max: AA against superdonk
As I promised yesterday (I'm sure you are all thrilled) I continue to post one hand from the session which I thought that I played most badly.
Villain is 88/36/1.23 after 50 hands. Party Poker ($0.5 no limit). Hand converted by Check Raised hand converter SB ($54.72) (SB) BB ($77.10) (BB) MP ($23.70) (MP) CO ($16.35) (CO) BTN ($57.85) (BTN) HERO ($52.75) [ A A ] (UTG) Preflop (6 players): HERO raises $2.00. 3 folds. SB calls ($1.75). 1 fold. Flop (9 bets ($4.5) in pot, 2 players): 8 3 9 SB checks. HERO bets $4.00. SB raises $12.00. HERO calls ($8.00). Turn (57 bets ($28.5) in pot, 2 players): 8 3 9 8 SB checks. HERO bets $17.00. SB raises $34.00. HERO folds. Villain played loose, but he had respected my bets to some point so far. My plan was to call the flop raise and get it allin on the turn. Probably I should just 3bet on the flop because of the drawheaviness. On the turn scarecard came.. maybe check behind is better, also the bet was pretty weak. I chickened out after obvious strength check-raise. Surely this hand could be played much better..how would you have played this? |

Re: NL50 6max: AA against superdonk
That's probably how I play that as well. On stuff like this, is this a "bet this turn w/o outs, check behind with outs (aka having Ah)" type of thing (I'm a limit guy)?

[/ QUOTE ] No, that is pretty correct in NL, too. But against this retard, I never ever bet here unless I want to get it all in. I probably check behind and then call any river bet. I think it's very likely you folded the best hand here. |

[/ QUOTE ] if you're a limit guy, you will be checking the turn a LOT more than youre used to here, many times to keep the pot small. the first thing I noticed through surfing here was that I had to ramp down my aggression pretty heavily. |

I would go for a check behind like 100% of the time against [censored] idiots.

anyone 3bet this flop? [/ QUOTE ] Hells yes. Unless I think he is bluffing. Also, I'm not betting this turn unless I'm going to be very comfortable getting all-in. |

Re: NL50 6max: AA against superdonk
no need to flat call this flop. 3 bet AI every time here. 20 in the pot and im happy to take it down right here

Re: NL50 6max: AA against superdonk
I thought that calling the flop bet and then getting it in on the turn would get more profit when I'm ahead. (Just calling the flop bet shows weakness). But yes, this was too coordinated flop to do it.
He had 8c3c btw. |
