Sake hot or cold
I'll take this stuff hot, cold, warm, ice cubed, jello shotted, dripping from pussy lips... okay you get the point. Just got back from Japan and I can't get enough of this stuff. Too bad I can only get one brand at my local liquor shop. It's best when fairly warm imo. You need to put the sake container into a pot of hot water to warm it up: no microwaving! Then you pour into small shot-glass like cups and sip - don't shoot. It is delicious. (japanese rice-wine for those who don't know).

Re: Sake hot or cold
Actually the correct answer is a cliche. It depends on the sake. There are many different types and subtypes. Some are best served Cold, some cool, some room temperature, some warm and some hot. Some can be served more than one way and still retain its character. If you find a Japanese market in your area you will see as much variety in sake as wine. I'm no expert, but I enjoy sake whenever my Tawainese girlfriend makes a Hot Pot(soup with stuff dipped in). Enjoy.

Re: Sake hot or cold
Sake tastes liked water downed Vodka to me. I want it warm because it helps me differentiate it from watered down vodka.
