Pool Cues
My dad is purchasing a pool table so I am thinking about getting him a pool cue for Father's Day. Any suggestions on brands, things to look for, etc.
Can I get a decent pool cue for around $100?? |

Re: Pool Cues
I posted a thread on pool cues 10 May, but I'm not sure how to copy links to old threads.....

Re: Pool Cues
the problem is a 100 cue is hit and miss and more expensive cues are really personal and thus hit and miss. But for 100 be a little careful. Do not get a cuetec. Do not get anything that goes into many pieces. I would probably go with a plain helmstetter that is probably around 150 at the billiard warehouse in 19 ounces. Some sneaky petes can be had for the 100. Duffereins were pretty good but I think the company had some problems.

Re: Pool Cues
You can get a Player or Lucasi cue for around that price range, and they're both good beginner cues. I think they're owned by the same company to be honest. I would avoid the low end cuetec cues though.
