Default $25NL: 99 vs surprising bets

UTG is 11/4 over about 50 hands, but pretty aggressive post flop.

I am not real sure what I was doing this hand, I seemed to be completely confused and lost by UTG+1's betting. I really couldn't figure out what villain had, however I felt confident it wasn't a big PP

Looking for better ideas on all rounds.

i make the flop 2.25 - 2.50 to go, i'm big on raising for information in position, and i'm not sure if any hand worse then 9s can really call.

anyone else put him on something like a missed AQ or AK? maybe AJ trying to take it down with the second barrel and getting lucky on the river. his flop bet is really weak-raise it to around 2.25-2.50 and see what he does.

[ QUOTE ]
Reraise flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

***Nit alert***

Technically, a reraise happens when someone has raised, and then you raise them. "Reraise" is primarily a preflop term. The initial preflop raiser raises the blind, and then if you raise them, you are said to be reraising.

After the flop, as in the OP, Villian made a "bet" (not a raise as there was nothing to raise), and Hero would be making a "raise" not a reraise if he puts more money in over villians bet. Then if Villian would come over the top of that, it's called a 3-bet.

/end nit
