A lot of intrigue and controversy surrounds this Group D match. Hopefully the fans and media can put the douchebaggery of Iran's president aside and focus on the game itself. Should be a fun one.

I like Iran to pull the upset, 2-1.

i think iran is a vastly underestimated side. i think they take the group and get at least a draw here.

Iran's President was recently quoted making anti-semetic remarks including that the holocaust was "a myth." This led some to suggest that Iran should be banned from competing in the World Cup (which would be absolutely rediculous IMO).

Add to this the fact that the game will be played in Nuremburg, site of the famous Nazi trials of post WWII. German officials are expecting protestors outside the stadium before and during the game.
