I like it as long as you can trust your read that he won't raise with less than 2 pair.

chips are too valuable to be betting 150 right here. i prefer a check/fold here, or if he bets 150-200 or less you could look him up.

I probably check/call the river. You might be up against a weak A at this level. I think the hand was played well. However you're probably up against JXs and got rivered because some donk called and hit on the river.

[/ QUOTE ] So your reasoning is this. 1. I bet 150 and he won't call with anything I beat. 2. If I check, I get a showdown for the same price (normally) and I can induce a bluff. Is that right? |

I'm assuming you are pointing to your bet on the river as the blocking bet. With a pot on the river of 360 and you're betting 150, that doesn't look like a blocking bet because you're betting close to half the pot and that doesn't seem out of the ordinary. I would think a blocking bet by you would be a bet of 90 to 100 on the river. So, I would say no.

You guys realise that Hero has 2 pair? And its a 6.50? What's all this talk of check-folding?
I'm bet-calling, you think people wont raise a naked ace? |
