Two ladies and three dudes. recipe for trouble? (NL600-6max)
UTG is a very good TAG/LAG, 25/20 and aggressive. We've played a fair bit together, definitely open it up preflop against each other, but generally respect each other on all streets, knowing that we're not here to battle each other so much as the fish. Just before this hand happened I confirmed that he is in fact a 2p2er as I suspected.

Check the damn river man. if he has KK AA or the case J you are in trouble. ABsolutely no reason to bet river. MAYBE, KK folds river, doubt it. I think check and see that he has AA is more likely

river bet is trying to get a better hand to fold or a worse hand to call?

Re: Two ladies and three dudes. recipe for trouble? (NL600-6max)
he does not have an ace 95% of the time. i'd actually probably bet even less here, if i did bet. if he c/r's depends on who villain is, but this is most likely a worse pocket pair although a J/QQ+ isn't out of the question
if you don't mind me asking, who is villain? |

I would check the river, the way you played it sure looks like you can have an ace, and I don't think he's calling with anything QQ beats. Not sure why you checked the turn though, I'm betting there just about always. Not really sure what someone was saying about him having the case J, obviously extremely unlikely with this action (he cant have QhJh)

Re: Two ladies and three dudes. recipe for trouble? (NL600-6max)
I don't like a riverbet at all here; you're probably never getting called (unless he's thinking you're bluffing, but well yeah, most hands will not look you up here often at all given how the hand played out. I'd definately bet (e.g push) here a lot with air though).
That put aside, I can't understand the turn-check; he's got a potbet left for christ sake, just bet. |

Re: Two ladies and three dudes. recipe for trouble? (NL600-6max)
Here's my two bits. AK leads this river like half pot as a VB against your overpair. KK or AA plays faster on that flop. I think villain folded, but if he did call the only hand I can put him on here is TT. Maybe 99.

Re: Two ladies and three dudes. recipe for trouble? (NL600-6max)
Riverbet is pretty much solely to fold out KK, since I think thats a big part of his range.
Villain is Bluthton. |
