visas for traveling to the USA to play in WSOP for pro poker players
i am an Australian poker player who recently turned pro and am planning a trip to to the USA to play in the WSOP. Does anyone know if i need a visa to do so? if so, what type? the consulate over here apparently enjoys making finding this out as difficult as possible, or nobody there knows. So if there are any overseas players out there going to the USA this July, could you please let me know what your arrangements are in regards to this matter, thanks alot guys.

google the US state dept. Their website will tell you everything you need to do. Many countries do not require visa's prior to entry to the US. You can get a visitors visa at the point of entry if you are from one of our "Friendly" countries.

"Most Australians traveling on business or tourism for less than 90 days do not require a visa." Make sure you've got the right kind of passport (the link is on that page) and you should be set. |
