Default Australia?

Gonna be going to Australia to visit my dad at the end of July... He's there for 6 months for business, so his company's paying to fly family members out there. My brother and I will be there for 2 weeks, but Pops can only take a 1 week vacation, leaving me and the brother with a week to do whatever.

Anyone ever been out there? Looking for some recomendations on where to go, what to do, things to look for... Also, anyone know the drinking age there? July is one month short of my 21st b-day

Thanks

Oh yea... gonna be staying in Sydney, and since the trip is free, I should have a decent amount of cash to blow on fun stuff

Drinking age is 18. As for your other questions, there are dozens of topics, have fun using search.

Used the search, found alot of great stuff... One thing I didn't find is the gambling age. Maybe head to Melbourn for a day or two and hit the Crown Casino if I can get in

age for everything relevant for a tourist <= 18.

e.g. gambling age = 18, age of consent = 16.

Sydney has a great, new modern Casino, near Darling Harbor, called Star City. Give them a try, but call first to see what games they are spreading. When I was there, they had only limit, and once in awhile would spread NLHE. Players are pretty awful, 3 and 4 betting all the way to the river. Sydney is an unbelievably fantastic city. Don't forget to climb the harbor bridge, great experience. Have fun

Ah, to be 20 again and going back to Sydney.

The only bad thing is you're going in the winter, puts a crimp in the nude beach action.

The rake structure at Star City makes the games impossible to beat. Have they changed things recently?

No. It sucks big time. Go to Crown (Melbourne) if you really must play, but there are a million better things to do in Sydney than poker.

Little more about the casinos...
Would really like to go, because again, I'm 20 so there's no B+M's I can play in around Chicago. Are Australian Casinos the same as (I would assume) Vegas casinos are, as far as, as long as you're gambling, you're drinking for free?
Also, how longs the trip from Sydney to Melbourn?
