Default Need Help setting up two monitors

***Not sure where best to post this, so if needed to be moved, fine...sorry if this is bad place to post***

First...I got 2 monitors up, but it was just a mirror..like I'd move on my lap top, and same thing move on the other monitor. Then all of a sudden my other monitor went crazy color...never seen that before, not sure if it's screwed up.

Anyways...I'd like to figure this out, unless I broke this monitor..if you cna help that be great.

ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 is my card, uh..also, now on my laptop, all my icons have a "blue highlight" over the txt, similar to when you click one icon and it highlights..except the highlight won't leave...

thx for help...and if you know how to do this, i'll be willing to give you a call and ask for help over the phone as it's easier than a forum.

thx.

- Jordan

Sorry to say, I'm not sure on this. I had a problem at work multi-heading my Nvidia card - I had the same problem, they'd mirror but not span both monitors. I downloaded the latest driver for my card and it worked great. I have no idea what you might be seeing though.

I would suggest checking the computer hardward forum for better help.

Well, it's not clear to me if you solved the problem of how to use all your monitor space. You didn't specify an operating system, but in Microsoft Windows, you can set that under Display (from Control Panel). The check box on the Settings tab is marked "Extend my Windows display on to this monitor."

As for the blue images on the monitor -- it sounds like your monitor could be malfunctioning, but that's the last thing you want to conclude. Can you run the same monitor on a different computer?

You would probably want to consult the manufacturer if you can isolate the problem to the monitor.
