Default 80/160 Borgata shady riv action

GREAT 80/160 game at Borgata on Sunday afternoon.

This game featured most pots with 5+ players for multiple bets preflop. The main opponent in this hand is Larry for those who might know. He is a weekend regular who only plays to have a good time. He is the loud, demanding, talkative type that is friendly with many people in the casino and is a complete donator. He often checks down hands after the flop if its heads up between him and a player he is friends with.

I haven't played many hands because of all the raising and because I haven't gotten much to work with. This hand, I am dealt 8c 5c in the cutoff and there are 4 limpers to me, including Larry in mid position. I limp along, button folds, terrible SB calls and BB checks.

Flop comes down Ac, 6c, 7s
Everyone checks to Larry who bets, I'm next and I call. Terrible SB calls and two EP players call.

Turn is the 9h
EP1 bets out, EP2 folds, Larry raises, I 3-bet, SB coldcalls and Larry calls. Everyone else folds.

River is 6s. It's checked to me, I bet and SB folds. Now, Larry turns his cards over showing 86 and makes a little forward gesture with his hand and says "trip 6's". I am confused by this and I just turn my cards over as well and show the straight. He sits there and doesn't really do anything and I ask, "didn't you call?" and he goes on and on, "no, i wasn't calling - I knew you had the straight I only called the turn for the 10..." etc etc. He is clearly trying to defend his little river trick when I am 190% sure that he would have called on the river.

Obviously, I should not have shown my cards and waited until he declared that he was calling or folding. But, at this point, do you make a big deal out of this at all? I think technically, he doesn't have to give me the $160 since he didn't call but how should I respond to this given the type of player he is?

If it matters, I probably make a trip to the Borgata less than once a month (I always play in the 80 game or higher). I have played with him before but I don't think he knows who I am at all. Some of the other regulars in the game do know me. Also, I was scheduled to go back home to New York around an hour or so after this hand.

I think the play of the hand is pretty straightforward; I was mainly interested in how yall think I should have handled this little river robbery.

Thanks

street by street:

preflop: I dont like 85s. Its trashy.
flop: you didnt cap your straight and flush draw multiway?
river; do not reveal your cards until you see your opponent put his money in and dealer says showdown or does something to that effect

so you are bothered about not getting his river call but you're not bothered about the money you lost by only putting $80 in on the flop

I didn't think that raising the flop and making the entire field call 2 cold would have been the best way to get bets into this flop. I thought it very possible that if i raised, my only callers would be SB and Larry. Unreasonable?

if you only get 2 callers you are still making money. With these big draws I generally like to say I dont care who wants to call, this flop is getting pooooundded with chips. Even if everyone but larry and sb fold, you still have a decent chance to fold them out on the turn because of the ace on board (assuming they dont have one).
