Default Too Weak? Folding Flopped Trips

No great reads on villian. He's not doing anything crazy, that's for sure. I thought a while before I folded...

you raised pf, he doesn't put you on a 9, in a limped pot I wouldn't have a problem with the fold but I really don't like it here.

Even if he has a better 9, you have a tonne of outs for a split.

He's under the gun and limping then calling a raise. That screams pocket pair. That being said, I don't hate the fold. I'd probably call with up to 14 outs to win or tie for best hand, only having to call $12 to win $52.25.

Ok, thanks for the replies. This was a bad beat post I guess. I did call, the guy had 77. I figured this was the only way to post it to get unbiased replies. After, I was a bit upset because I thought I might have been able to get away from it. What hands does he play this way that I'm ahead of? Probably only TT+, but does he just flat call those pre-flop? Eh, with my hand so well disguised I think a fold there just can't be right... can it?
