Poker Rooms in Niagara
Ok, after an interesting weekend in AC where I learned optimal strategy includes never folding and NOT eating the breakfast buffet at the Taj, its time to plan a trip to Niagara.
I did the search thing. Best I could figure is that there are 3 casinos/poker rooms: Fallsview, Seneca and Casino Niagara. I saw some posts about the tournies there, but what about the cash games? Are there any casinos I'm missing worth mentioning? Which casino has the biggest/busiest poker room? Which ones are in the US? Any other caveats about a trip to Niagara? I'm primarily interested in 3/6-5/10 HE games but my buddy plays LO8 if that is available up there anywhere. |

Re: Poker Rooms in Niagara
Based on currency exchange fees alone, you should play at Seneca if you live in the states. That said, Fallsview has really soft 4-8 and 6-12 games (which are equivalent to 3-6 and 4-8 USD, respectively) and an amazing 5-5 NL500 game. Casino Niagara has all low-limit stuff, but the room sucks and the service is bleh.
Seneca Niagara has free drinks, too, from what I remember. I don't drink while playing, but I seem to recall that. If so, this is probably better for you, even if you don't drink! EDIT: Also, no Canadian casinos near the border spread split-pot games. It has something to do with their gaming licenses and them not being "certified" to do so. |

Re: Poker Rooms in Niagara
The free drinks at Niagra are only non-alcoholic. I did get a pretty good exchange rate at the cage which was right around the 1:1.18 at the time.
