I suck at AK

I think AK unimproved has lost me more money than any other hand. I always continuation bet/raise the flop no matter what, and usually check-call the turn and river heads up. I think that's bad but I hate folding anytime I'm getting better than like 5:1.

I understand the value in 3-betting preflop, but it does nothing to limit the field, and puts us in an awkward position when the flop misses (case in point). If we see a safe flop, then we have the potential to get lots of value (bet/3-bet) from a good flop, while trapping the late position players in between. As you played it, I probably check the turn with two behind us.

Yeah I agree. Also that turn bet is brutal. I'm ready to just shut her down on 4th.

Don't you need to be more aggressive with this after 3-betting pre-flop? I understand we have to give villains credit for some hand ranges but aren't we too clearly defining our own on the flop by checking it? It just seems weird to 3-bet and not continuation bet automatically.
