I don't like your flop play. With that flop, you aren't getting anyone to fold, who you want to fold, and you are just bloating the pot, while you are drawing.
I think I call the original flop bet, and if it comes back to me for two bets, I count the pot, and decide if I want to play to catch a five. Im not really convinced that an ace is going to be an out here. Once you get to the turn, the pot is huge, and without reads, you are probably just potstuck. |

I really don't like the flop raise and then call of the cap. The turn is also really bad. There's about nothing you're ahead of here - you're going to be up against two pair, a set, and a straight pretty often with action like this.

First AKs gives up too much by not putting in the last bet preflop. Just ease her in there.
Next I would consiser this a bad flop for you. It's a huge pot so I'm not giving up, but I'd call that first bet, the likelyhood is you are playing for a split and that's not good. |

Your lack of a preflop cap with AKs and this many people in the hand made me puke.
Just call the flop bet, who is going to fold to your flop raise? Haupt_234 |

Re: Does pot size justify this line of play? What\'s the read on the SB
i haven't read any of the other responses, but i just say:
reads are great, don't be afraid to post them. i would cap preflop. since the pf 3bettor is acting behind you, it needs to be considered that if you call or raise there will be a raise or reraise behind you alot so the odds you seem to be getting aren't always as good as you think. for that reason i would call without a read. don't get me wrong, if i thought it was the right spot i would consider raising. on the turn i would bet. protect your hand. as played i would 3 bet if it would induce folds b/c the pot is HUGE. |
