Spread limit in the Bay Area
I play 1/2 NL ($100 max buy-in) on the East Coast and want to get a sense for what spread limit game is a good equivalent. Suggestions?
Also, I'll be in the Bay Area in a couple weeks, staying in Burlingame, so if there are any good spread limit or no-limit games there, any suggestions would be great. Thanks. |

Re: Spread limit equivalent to NL 1/2 HE?
Where do you play NL with $100 max on the East Coast?
Also, I'm not too sure about your question... spread limit is a completely different game. It's closer to limit, really. I've never seen spread limit other than 1-3, 2-5 or 2-6 so it doesn't even get that high as far as I know. Although, I know there's some games somewhere that are "spread limit" from 5-200 or something that are basically NL. I forget where those are. |

Re: Spread limit equivalent to NL 1/2 HE?
I play at Foxwoods, and from what I've been reading, some Bay Area casinos have large spread limit games to combat laws against no-limit. I'm just curious which ones are best and within a 100-200 max buy-in.

Re: Spread limit equivalent to NL 1/2 HE?
Bay101 was spreading a $2-100 spread limit game with a strict $100 buy-in limit. Lucky Chances started spreading one and I guess Bay101 thought they had to compete.
I have no idea how it was playing. Let's hope it fizzles. |

Re: Spread limit equivalent to NL 1/2 HE?
We probably have the 'largest spread' spread limit games routinely....spread here in washington. Given our $500 max bet at tribals depending on the buyin they are anywhere from 2-500 to 10-500 spread limit.

Re: Spread limit equivalent to NL 1/2 HE?
I don't think there's a true 1/2 game in the Bay Area. The lowest is $100 max buy-in, $200 max bet, 1-1-2 & 4-to-complete blinds.
Lucky Chances, Bay 101, and Garden City are probably your best bets given your location and stake preference. Check out this page for more info: http://poker.wikia.com/wiki/Bay_Area |

Re: Spread limit in the Bay Area
1-1-2 (an additional small blind is posted on the button) $40 min $100 max buyin, $4-$200 spread limit at Lucky Chances is what most approximates what you're looking for. It is about a 15 minute drive from Burlingame in the town of Colma.
