Default Did I play this hand poorly?

Hi, I'm a newbie to cash NL games, and I'm trying hard to improve my game. I read this hand all wrong and lost a buyin on it, so maybe someone can tell me how I could have played it differently or if I my bets were okay. Basically, I put the guy on a nut flush draw (maybe AK) and wanted to punish him for drawing. Also, is limping a pocket pair UTG okay?

Don't tell us you lost the buy-in, or any results for that matter. It can lead to results-oriented advice, and you don't want that.

Bet the pot on the turn, don't overbet it, there's no real need. That's basically a blank turn card, so his flop call, turn raise over top of your overbet screams flush and I would probably let my set go.

The hand, meh...no need to overbet the turn. Just pot it, maybe call if he minraises. Just know that it can be hard to get away from a set vs. a flopped flush.

The text in your hand post makes for a poor post. If you're gonna post at SSNL, here are some hints:

Title: Think for a second how many hand threads could use the same title as you used. It's general, vague, and sets the tone for the post. Better would be 'NL25: flopped a set on a monotone flop'

'lost a buy-in' -- Don't give results within the OP (original post), as they can cloud judgments of people who respond.

giving villians hand -- see above.

If you are just hit and running us, disregard the above.

That was my first post, I'll change things up next time. Cheers for the advice on the hand.
