Default Chuck Klosterman\'s 23 Questions #18 The Prize

You have won a prize. The prize has two options, and you can choose either (but not both). The first option is a year in Europe with a monthly stipend of $2,000. The second option is ten minutes on the moon.

Which option do you select?

Easily the moon, especially if I actually get to travel there, rather than just instantly being teleported there or something. Europe is cool, but a trip to the moon is worth well over 20k. Not to mention that it'll be much less disruptive to my life (I don't need to take a year off from anything).

I'm going with 10 minutes on the moon. Then again, I have been to Europe many times, so maybe my answer is skewed. The moon just seems so much cooler and is bound pull in some premium trim.

The moon obviously. Worth much more than $24,000.

moon no question...once in a lifetime...europe you can do anytime

edit: I think this questions is worded poorly. It should be (I assume): Would you rather have no obligation (no job etc) trip to europe for 1 year with 2k/mo spending money, or just 10 minutes of fun on the moon.

edit 2: rethinking what I just said, I think I'd take europe. Moon is mostly just for bragging rights.

F the moon. I'm sure it would be a great sight, but it's still barren and only 10 minutes. I could get much more pleasure out of 24k.

The moon for sure. Even if it was in Europe with a stipend of 10k a month think about how few people have been on the moon. I guess the intersting question for everyone saying moon is how big would the stipend need to be for you to say Europe?

Interesting.

10 seconds is 10 seconds. Can't do much with that and a wasteland. I want the trip and the cash.

Tough question actually. At first glance it seems moon easily as its a once in a lifetime chance, but the overall picture of a year of fun with money to do it in Europe would probably end up being more fun, resulting in more stories and more good memories. Then again, it would be more likely that you would do this on your own if you really wanted to. I'm so torn, I guess that is the point. I think I take the moon and regret it a little.
