BAD bluff from MP IMO. What is he hoping to push out of UTG? Guys like that will call down all day long. MP's play is spew IMO, especially after you cold-cap OTB.

if MP has the right read on UTG it's a great line on his part, but it could easily be spew.

in any case you made the right play probably even if you know they are both capable of this.

take solace in the fact that you were the only one that didn't play their hand like a complete ass

Sigh....people are so ridiculous. I think that this has happened to all of us. It's certainly happened to me more times than I'd like to believe.

Yikes. At least you're at a table with these guys. Also, folding the flop is the right play.

I was wondering if my flop fold was really correct.
MP didn't cap preflop, so his raise means he's either fos or has a pair I have 6 outs against. There's a flush draw but I have the A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I don't think MP would raise a set here, he would allow me to draw dead with hi cards.
And the pot is big.

32/18/1.8 is the new TAG?

I think you should at least call the flop. You have position and a nut BDFD.

I don't know what kind of reads MP had on you and if he did this play based on these reads or it was just retarded agression. However it looks good. There is a chapter in TOP about raising with the second best hand and this seems like a successful application.

I call the flop. The backdoor flush/straight draws've got to be good for 2 outs total, and I'd give myself ~4 for the overcards. You're getting 8:1 after the flop raise, and you've got a LAG and a SLAG AGing it up. I like a call. Would love to hear why so many others like the fold, though.
