Just tested Stacked, and my god it sucks =(
What is DN thinking putting his name on this shitt.
The bettingsystem is worthless, the computer plays totaly retarded allthough i havent played very far in the campaign or what ever. Also dealer is superanoying. but mostly i hate the betting/calling/folding system. I mean it works great on all online sites so why do they invent some totaly retarded bar system. Also im dissapointed that they dont have any real casinos in the campaign i mean it would be great to play the WSOP in a computergame and so on. Also the leassons is a complete joke way to basic i mean i realise that they have to have basic leassons but i was looking forward to some more advanced tips especially FL advice from Daniel. |

I too made a horrible mistake. I spent $20 on the WSOP game for the PS2. In a word, horrible. Trust me. Then I got to thinking. That is, the thinking I should have done before buying it. "Why the [censored] would I buy a game to play poker when I can just play on-line, at a casion, or in a home game?"

Re: Just tested Stacked, and my god it sucks =(
This review would be much easier on the eyes with a little capitalization/punctuation, a few grammar adjustments and a run though a spell checking program.
Other than that I find it to be some of the most compelling text I've glossed over in at least the last 30 seconds. Sarcasm aside, my point is that your point is lost because the text is so hard to read. |

[/ QUOTE ] Does this include programs such as Turbo Texas Hold'em and Poker Academy? I've found the Turbo programs to be very helpful practice due to their realistic AI. I haven't tried Poker Academy but I've heard good things about it. |

I played it for about 15 min. total. But since I still have gift cards for the local one-stop shopping centre, I may buy this one anyway. Yeah, I know, I'm probably better off buying groceries. Re: Just tested Stacked, and my god it sucks =(
I would think that the game would be much more enjoyable if you could get out of your seat and fight your opponents ala streetfighter. If they put an especially bad beat on you you could do a fatality move on them. Just a thought for poker video games of the future.

Re: Just tested Stacked, and my god it sucks =(
yeah, the wsop PSP game is kinda crappy. There's a second one called World Series Poker 2 with Howard Lederer for PSP which isn't too bad because its mainly cash games etc, and theres tells, and its more virtual...

Re: Just tested Stacked, and my god it sucks =(
what is wrong with the call bet and fold system? its the same as it is in all the other games. took me about a second to figure it out. who cares about that?
i havent had any problems with the game so far, only played it for about an hour. some people like to play poker for fun, some like to play for money, some like to play both. i love poker and all its forms, it doesnt kill me or take any fun away from it because its a video game. the ign review is bogus. while im not done with the game, the "player" writing that review should learn more about the game of poker before reviewing this game. so far the difference i see is that the ai doesnt do anything crazy like in the other poker games. in the other poker games the computer will call all his chips off with 5 high. stacked is much more realistic in this regard. i havent gotten to the higher levels yet, if at the higher levels it gives me the challenge that it advertises i will be happy, if it doesnt this whole thing was a sham. half of the stuff in the ign review i found so far that was either not true, or not a big deal. for example people are making a big deal about the bet bar like its very hard to bet the ammount you want. i didnt find this hard at all. in addition it was said that there was no way to tell how much the other players had while in a hand, this was also not the case. maybe my version is different than the one they reviewed.(xbox) all i care about is the AI and the hype surrounding it. i dont care about the betting bar, the fold call or raise system, the graphics or any of the other bs. all i care about is that this game was advertised as an advanced AI that will improve your game and be more like playing against professionals. so we will see. while i am skeptical, i want to see for myself because there is a ton of bias in alot of the bad reviews for this game. |

Most people who do reviews on these forums probably haven't even played the game, they just "heard" something from someone and they make up their minds from that. |
