9 player vs. 10 player SNGs
I have found that I have a higher ROI in the 10 player SNGs than I do in the 9 player on Stars. (>20% difference)
Standard Payout on both 50/30/20. Similar Blind increases Any of you have that same experience or might this be due to better players at stars or just variance? I do play sorta tight so the higher $ for 3rd in 10 player may make a small difference? (BTW I don't find it any harder to get ITM with 10 than 9 Appreciate any input. P.S. I play minimum stakes on both sites. |

Re: 9 player vs. 10 player SNGs
what's ur sample size for each. also, ideally, it should be 10% easier to get ITM with a 9 person than a 10 person. therefore i'm making the assumption ur sample size is < 500 for each.

Re: 9 player vs. 10 player SNGs
you'll have to tell us how many of each you've played...
if it's under 500 of each...it's probably mostly variance |

Re: 9 player vs. 10 player SNGs
Yeah I didnt wanna put it in because I assumed everyone would say too few samples, variance.....
Played about 220 - 10player <50 - 9 player on Stars In theory it should be 10% easier in the 9 player, but then payout is less too....... do or anyone else have stats for both with better sample size (BTW my 9 player ROI is lower) |

Re: 9 player vs. 10 player SNGs
so you've played less than 50 9-player ones and you're making claims about something? okay...

Re: 9 player vs. 10 player SNGs
personally I find the reverse to be the case. it seems like most of the time the loose players bomb out early or accumulate some chips which they start donking off with loose calls on the bubble. you will always have a few tight players on the bubble looking to double up on the donk. The less of these players I have to outlast and the quicker we can get to the bubble the easier it is for me. Like you said perhaps its attributable to playing styles, I can only say from experience and pokertracker stats that I make almost 30 percent more roi in 9 handed sng.

Same reason why the first reply asks the sample size. Play more now, stop worrying about stats, and after 1000 at each then you can START analyzing data. |
