JTs 25NL 6-max what do you think?
hi there, i'm new to this forum and this is my first post
So I've been grinding it up quadtabling at the 25NL 6-max rooms. This is a situatiation that happened today, what is your line here? 6 Players 25NL 6-max Hero on Button ($76.15) UTG (Villain)($15.19) Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG (Villain) raises $0.25. 2 folds, Hero (poster) calls $0.50, 2 fold Flop: ($1.40) 10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Villain bets $1.40. Hero calls $1.40. Turn: ($4.20) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Villain bets 2.25, Hero raises $2.25, Villain calls 2.25. River: ($13.20) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Villain bets $8.79(and is all-in), Hero calls $8.79. Final Pot: $30.78 Villain shows A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] : Flush Ace high. Hero shows J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] : Flush Jack high. On the turn I thought milking him was a good idea. The only card that would prevent me to continue doing this on the river was a J. If he had QJ btw, sobeit I had no problem calling his all-in on the turn. It turns out he had A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] . Was this bad luck or bad play from me? I have another question about winrates at NL25 6-max tables. It seems to me that playing 4000 hands quad tabling any amount from $500 to $1500 should be ok? My last question involves 50NL 6-max tables. What is the major difference between 25NL and 50NL if any. And those who made the step, what happened to your winrate? Thanks for reading my post cheers! |

just bad luck...
although you could raise more on the turn...and actually you should be raising that flop too... |

Re: JTs 25NL 6-max what do you think?
I'd raise the flop to ~4-5 and on the turn, I'm putting him all in.

I would be playing the monster draw more aggressively. Also, I'm confused with your winrate question.

Welcome n00b.
In the future, don't include results in your hand post as they can cloud peoples advice. As for the hand, raise flop. As played, raise more on the turn. Minraising is usually pretty sucky, and it is here. --aj |

Re: JTs 25NL 6-max what do you think?
pot the flop. minraising the turn gives him good odds to call. you want to raise enough so that its incorrect for him to call - that is, if this exact hand happened 100 times and you raised more on the turn so he either folds or loses more when he doesnt hit, you win that much more money on an aggregate scale

Re: JTs 25NL 6-max what do you think?
welcome to forum,
raise the flop. you have a gigantic hand (TP/OESD/FD/etc). your objective should be to get the money in ASAP. raise more on the turn, miniraising is generally bad. river is an instacall. |

Re: JTs 25NL 6-max what do you think?
I think your winrate assumption is high.
If you are running well with a sound game at 10PTBB/100 hands. At $0.25 big blind so $0.50 PTBB. 4000 hands/100=40. 10*40=400BB. 400BB=$200. |
