Default *Semi-Official* WSOP Smaller Events Thread

I'm trying to make plans and decide which tournaments to play.

I thought it would be cool to have a thread so people could say what they are playing, maybe where good deals to stay are, meet up for dinner or drinks, watch the world cup etc.

Also info like satelliting into the tourneys would be cool.

Here is the schedule of events:

wsop schedule

you can get deals for hotels through that link.

I know stars lets you buy into certain events with W dollars:

stars info

FTP has a nightly satellite for 1500 in wsop lammers and 500 cash at 9:00 nyt.

Curious if other satellites online and what the live satellite situation will be.

I am not sure how many I will play, probably at least 2 limit events and maybe a few others.

I am playing Event 37($1500 NLHE). Qualified through one of the Full Tilt $24 satellites which are very soft. I got a room at Gold Coast(across street from Rio) for about $50/night.

I'm playing in Event #2 - $1500 NLHE.

Won it through satellite through bodog and definitely recommend it to others. $50+4 tourney, average 30 players, $2500 prize pool (seat plus 1k travel)

i'm getting into town on the 25th or so, staying at the bellagio. i'm planning to be a total tournament donkey while i'm in town, since that's what i've done best at lately. probably play the daily tourneys at bellagio, along with a few of the following wsop events:

jun 27 - 1500 nl, jun 29 - 1500 limit, jun 30 - 2500 nl short, jul 1 - 2000 nl

planning to stay for about ten days, but if things go well, who knows

I plan to play Event 6 (NLHE $2000, starts 7/1) and stay through the 4th whatever happens in that to play the side tourneys and cash games. Then come back from the 14th-18th for events 22 and 26 (NLHE $2000 and PLO $1500). WIll be taking a few shots at Main Event satellites and will buyin if I win $30K+ but am not expecting to play Main Event.

Definitely will meet up with anyone who is there those weekends.

Do not have lodging yet, will probably just get a hotel especially since my fiancee will be there for some of the time but would be willing to work out something cheaper with folks who are renting houses.
