Default JJ in awkward spot

This happened to me a week or so ago. Avg stack is about 13k, blinds are 600/1200, I have about 9k in my stack.

I pick up Jacks UTG, and raise to 3600 leaving about 5.5k.... everyone folds around to SB who calls (damn) and then the BB calls as well (double damn).

Flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I have the Jack of clubs.

SB checks, BB checks, I ....

I voted rethink your original raise and just shove. No reason to get fancy here, picking up the blinds is a nice addition to your stack especially when the average stack is 10 bb's or so.

I pick up some bananas at the grocery store the other day and then asked the cashier to cough on them.... he did (damn) and then the bagger did as well (double damn).

I take the bananas home.

I am hungry.

The bananas look okay, they smell okay, I...

-Throw them away
-Put them away and revisit them when I'm hungry
-Use them to make a smoothie
-Gobble them both up
-Smash them
-Put them down my pants (or in my pocket)

Push preflop. You have JJ and less than 10 BB's and you're in bad position. Instapush preflop.

Since you didn't, your only choice now is to push. You only have 5.5k left, it's a board scary enough that other players will fold a lot of hands, and there's a chance that you still might even be ahead with JJ + the high FD. The pot is like 10k here, you have 5.5k. You have 1 move. That move is to push. Just do it here. You shoulda done it preflop.

Holy [censored] anything but a push PF is awful.
P.S. Why isn't the bananas question in poll form?

You should push this preflop - your stack is getting low and you need to double up.

Isn't this awfully similar to the Sklanksy TT UTG hand, posted a few weeks ago? The M was about the same, though the OP in the Sklansky had more bbs.

The geniuses were saying to limp in that hand.
