$25 6m suited connecters
Villain just posted so I had no reads when I played the hand. Clearly this is a great flop for me but is cold calling the flop OK?
Second, I am right to think the turn push is horrible? It seems to me it lets mid-range PPs fold whilst allowing a better 4 or a 56 stack me. I don't like pushing the turn, I'd just call and hope he doesn't push the river.

I think only a better hand calls your turn push.

Re: $25 6m suited connecters
While I strongly believe that you're ahead here (likely up against either a 7 or a pp>77), it's hard when you don't know anything about the guy. But if we look at his possible hands that beat you:
77 - probably slow playing that at these stakes 33 - probably not pushing so hard on the flop 65 - probably not pushing so hard on the flop 4x - quite possibly plays this aggressively The hands that you beat that might call include all overpairs and A7 against many villians at these stakes. I've found that my edge at these stakes is that people will convince themselves that I'm bluffing and call my all-in with TPNK. That said, if you've got a villian that's playing aggressively OOP here, he's probably betting out the river as well, in which case you've got him pot committed. I would check behind and raise the river. |
