Default Party banning Poker Tracker - rumor?

While working in a B&M poker room last night I overheard a few players talking about Party. One of them said something about receiving an email from Party saying that his account will be frozen if he continues using Poker Tracker. He claims he's a pretty serious multi-tabler who plays A LOT and makes pretty significant money at Party.

Of course he could be FOS and I usually blow off these kinds of rumors, but another player at the table said "Yeah, I got the same email. Guess I'll have to play somewhere else." So I became mildly concerned since I regularly use PT, but I got no threats from Party.

I'm a small-time player on Party so I figured maybe they might only be looking at the big guys for now.

Of course players would leave Party in droves if they started freezing accounts, but did any of you big-time guys get any emails like this or it total BS?

I believe that he got that email because I've gotten something similar when I told them their new software update was [censored] garbage and I can't run PT/PA while playing a lot of tables.

If this were true...don't you think there would have been 47 threads already going on this topic?

I don't think a PT banning matters one way or another to fish.

When you are only importing hands for personal record when party software isn't open, how would they know you have it? And if party searches your comp for PT how would they know if you transfered your hand history files to another comp and did it?

So there's no way Party can enforce this if they were too.

Not true - it would be good for poker but it's not going to happen.

I heard that in the live games they're banning hole cards. Vegas is in an uproar, except for Phil Hellmuth. Phil Hellmuth is ecstatic!

I stopped here.

Without reading anything else, I can assure you, whatever it was that you heard, wasn't true.
