Strange hand.

Unless UTG had 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], I guess what he took it down with must've been KK/QQ?

Anyway, I suppose what we're seeing here is a bunch of big hands and flop slowplays. Or maybe SB had 22 or something like that.

You should bet the flop, by the way. I think your hand is too vulnerable on that board to be trying to trap, and all it takes is one more check for the flop to check through (checkraising MP3 would be nice, though, if it works). Besides, no one's going to give you credit for a set when you bet.

Bet the flop. Let them call with their Kings and Queens and their draws.

The others had 22 or KQ or some raggedy K2s two-pair.

On the flop I think I like just betting right out. There's 6 players in the pot, you're not going to lose them all.

The rest I like.

You've done a brilliant job of disgusing your hand, but just think about how many bets you'd get in on the flop if you just bet!

UTG: 30 hands ain't much, but do you really see UTG playing 53s. 44/22/KQ are more likely. Maybe UTG was L/R'ing with KK. On second thought, I can't see him sticking around with 44. And if he's got KQ, I'm noting that he severely overplays two pair.

BB: It would be tough to think BB would get out of line on the turn there with a semi-bluff. Again, 22, KQ, two pair are strong possibilities. On the river when he doesn't cap, he can't have the nuts, right?

Other than the flop, I think you played the hand well.

No real reads, neither had done anything too extravagant from what I'd seen.

The worry that I'm actually spewing chips in a situation, rather than making the correct play, is the reason for me posting this hand. The only real time I'm even considering I'm not way in front is UTG's river raise - should I be looking for that and slowing down ?

Thanks for the comments.
