Default How much do you spend on food per month?

Next to rent, food is one of the most expensive aspects of our survival. Do you feast like a king or cut every corner?

I spend from $200-$300 a month and yes I realize that's less than $10 a day.

Luckily, my spending is less than $200 a month... Those free meals at work really come in handy...

Not for nothing, but which of the people spending $10 a day do so out of necessity? That being the case, you can't complain or worry, because you got to get by and all that. But the people who actually work -- can you eat on $10 a day?

I'm a big guy so I won't let my numbers skew any results, but my girlfriend, who weighs like 120, spends more than that in a week at her house ... and I seldom eat a meal there.

I think anyone that makes all their own meals could get by on $5 a day with little problem.

i think $5 a day is doable, i think less is doable, i also think its boring. a 99c bag of pasta can feed me for 3 days, but who wants to eat pasta all the time.

or $1 worth of Top Ramen does the same.
but meh.

$10/day is more realistic if you variety and meat.
