I would fold after the BB goes all in.

When I face a tough decision like I try to think of other aspects of the hand besides my cards.

Your position: Raised in MP, thus BB has to give you some credit for some type of hand.
X Not Favorable

Opponents Position: BB is last to act, thus he does not have to worry about anyone else entering the pot
X Favorable

Opponents Agression: Do you know anything about him?..
X Dunno

You're Agression: Have you been raising alot recently which would thereby effect the pushing range of the BB.
X Dunno

Strength of your hand: Meh, unless you have information that you are not telling us. The BB range is ahead of 88. Either a slight coinflip or a big underdog.
X Not favorable

Thus, I fold.

Unless BB is very tight, this is a pretty easy call for me. I think you are about 50/50 vs. an average BB's range and your are getting very good pot odds. You still have a decent stack if you lose.

If you are going to raise this hand preflop, I think you need to be willing to call a push from the button or BB. If your not, then fold preflop, because the times you win 150 chips will not make up for the times you lose 260.

Honestly I might call. Why fold ? Its not that much to go ahead and call for what is likely a coinflip over 1000s of trials.

This comment isn't really wrong, but the logic leads one to think that you should not raise to 260 from middle position with a couple of smallish stacks behind you that are looking for an opportunity to shove.

I would have raised to 300 PF, but 260 is good too. I'd call the push here as you're likely flipping, might be against 77, and you still have a 10BB+ stack if you lose.

id like to think you have #s or a read on villain, but if not im flipping a coin here...and probably calling. as someone said you can be ahead of a short stacks range here even if only by a little bit, id have raised to 300 and not minded calling this push. 88 is one of those hands where its just as likely youre dominating as youre being dominated and youre most likely flipping.
