Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
Full ring $50nl
You're dealt QQ in early, raise to $2. folded round to BB, who makes it $6. YOU CALL. Flop $15, 49A rainbow. BB bets $5. What do you do? Effective stack 100BBs. Do you call pre flop? What's your move on the flop? No reads, I'd just sat down. |

Re: Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
hmm..this is a pretty tough spot. him coming over the top of you preflop could definitley mean an ace, or it might mean a smaller PP, tens, jacks, maybe even nines depending on how aggressive a player the BB is. on the flop a weak bet like that seems to say that he is worried about the ace but is betting out anyway. i might reraise this hoping to take it down now and then let it go on the turn if facing another bet unimproved.

Re: Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
well the weak flop bet could mean he is worried about the ace, although he could have KK and still have us...but the weak flop bet could also mean "OMFG i have AAA, plz don't fold"
I would just call this bet and see what he does on the turn..i'm definitly not feeling good about my QQ though and any kind of real bet by the BB is going to get me off the hand raising isnt that bad of a play here, but im not putting another cent in the pot if he doesnt fold |

Re: Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
This is a WA/WB, i just call this weak bet and see what you do on the turn. I think raising has some informational/bluff protection merrits against a very agressive opponent, but overall i think a call is much better.

do you think the villain will back down with something like kings, jacks, or tens on a blank turn?

do you think the villain will back down with something like kings, jacks, or tens on a blank turn? [/ QUOTE ] i would hope so...thats why i really don't think raising the flop is a good idea, although if villian is going to fire three 1/2 pot bets (I would probably call flop and turn and fold to a river bet)...raising now might save us money in the long run. it depends on how aggressive BB is. Raising the flop also might push KK out of the hand..I would guess (there were no reads) but that BBs range is something like JJ-AA and AK...so if a flop raise would fold out KK then were eliminating 1/3 of the hands that beat us...but him folding KK is a big IF |

Thanks for your interesting analysis.
in fact this is from villan's eyes, I am BB with KK, I folded and he showed QQ. This is at a higher limit and I felt I gave money away unnessecarily here, and wondered if i can expect this stealing a lot from $50nl? |

Re: Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
so i assume he reraised your flop bet? i think a pot sized bet prevents this..if you show some strength on the flop he's less inclined to bluff, and if he calls you can still throw away your kings unimproved.

Re: Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
Oh sorry, I forgot to say, he made it $15 on the flop, I folded and had a typical breif (usually incorrect) "oh wow this limit is hard" feeling I always get when I move up.

Re: Looking through villan\'s eyes. QQ PFRR, A high flop
that bet was horrible, make it at least $10 (this not only prevents bluffing, it gains value)
