Hypothetical: You flop top 2 with basic reads
This hand hasn't happened to me, but I've had similiar hands. Assume everyone has standard 100BB stacks.
All EPs fold. Someone in early-MP limps. You're in the CO with 7c 8c: You standard raise. Button calls. early-MP folds. Blinds fold. Your read on villian (button) is that he'll call raises with the following range: 2 big suited cards Any pocket pair (he's been known to just call with a big pair like KK, but you only saw this once) AKo AQo Any suited connector Maybe a suited 1 gapper, but only if they're high cards Ax suited You're not sure how often he gets out of line. Heads up to the flop: 6d 7h 8s You lead out for 3/4ths or a full PSB. Button calls. Turn: Jh You lead out for 3/4ths or a full PSB. Button min raises. What's your line here? He might make this move with TPTK (AJ), JJ/QQ/KK/AA, 9T, he might even do this with 99/TT or a set. Edit: Also, why aren't the card graphics working? :/ |

Think you have to put in a decent reraise and try and find out where you are. The majority of hands may minraise with you beat so put in an extra bet. If he comes back at you again then its a judgement call on the rest of his game.

check this out:http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...=0#Post5990600
And then to the hand. If I calculated correctly: pf raise + 1 cold-call. on the flop you pot it, he calls. turn you pot it, he min-raises. If you call now, you are pretty shortstacked and I just feel that if you want to continue (which I think you should), you should push.... |

Re: Hypothetical: You flop top 2 with basic reads
It seems like a funky situation, which is why I posted it.
If you shove here, all lesser hands like TPTK will probably fold (which is fine), but all the ranges that beat you insta call and the chances of you improving to the best hand are slim to none. Are we ahead here often enough to shove the turn? Thx for the link btw, yuck. |
