Default 4/8 Bellagio - Flop C/R with 55

Good, loose-passive 4/8 game at the Bellagio yesterday.

The only other good (TAG) player at the table is sitting directly to my right, unfortunately, but the rest of the table is so bad that it really does not matter.

One EP limper. Button raises, and I call with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the SB. BB calls too. Four-way to the flop.

Flop:
2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checked to button who bets, and I check-raise.

Why is this a bad thing?

So...no one likes a three-bet preflop?

Not if the EP limper is a donk and won't fold to 2 more.

I think in this situation putting in that one extra SB via a three-bet significantly increases our chances of winning this hand, unless Hero knows that there is no way that EP folds for two more.

Well, I assumed it since hero stated the entire table was LP except for a single TAG.

I think putting in an extra bet with 55 is silly here since the raiser is loose and passive. Why pump the pot when you might be a small favorite? Add in the fact that the EP limper might call atleast 50% of the time and this raise would suck.

Haupt,

You said that the raiser was "loose and passive," but in fact, the button/raiser is the TAG, so he may be raising fairly light.
