Default No Limit Hold \'em: Theory and Practice - Errata List

Known Errors in the First Printing (June 2006) of No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice:

top of p.34 - "That's immediate odds of 125-to-15 or about 7.33-to-1." Should read "...about 8.33-to-1." The next few sentences (based on 7.33-to-1 being slightly lower than 8-to-1) should be adjusted in a similar vein as well. The basic conclusion of the section is unchanged. (Thanks to 7n7 for catching this one.)

p. 120 - "lightening" should be spelled "lightning". (Thanks to MCS for catching this one.)

middle of p. 150 - "...if your check-raise arouses enough suspicions or stubbornness on your opponent's part that he will call with mediocre hands he wouldn't have bet in the first place." It should read "...he wouldn't have called a bet with in the first place." (Thanks to Gabe for catching this one.)

p. 154 - The T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] should be a 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] board. As printed, queen-jack would be the nuts, even after a river trey. (Thanks to MrWookie for catching this one.)

p.164 - "The chance that he will check the turn if you call is B." should read, "The chance that he will bet the turn if you call is B." Also, on the top of p.165, a similar change should be made: B represents the chance of your opponent betting, and 1-B represents the chance of checking. (Thanks to Josh. for catching this one.)

middle of p.184 - "...drawing dead to a runner-runner royal flush" should read "...drawing almost dead." The K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hand can win with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the turn and river as well as with running aces or running kings. (Thanks to Dynasty for catching this one.)

bottom of p. 196 - The turn card should be the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], not the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. As printed, the opponent's hand is five full of decues, when it's supposed to be only trip fives. (Thanks to RunningSixes for catching this one.)

top of p. 261 - "A loose, bad player limps with $300 limps in middle position." The first "limps" should be omitted. (Thanks to LVcardjunkie for catching this one.)
